I've had some great times at meets. The first Lakes was extra special IMHO, I think there was something special about how a group of (then) mostly strangers could all get together and have a whale of a time.

Really looking forward to Newent 2013, even if I am going to be sleeping under our 1 remaining event shelter ;D

Do you want to borrow a 4 man tent ??? Not the biggest in the world but it certainly useable ??  We also have some sleeping bags and other assorted odds and sods of the camping variety if needed ??

Tent is a Vango Icarus 400 if you want to look it up.

Good meets then, first Lakes had to be best.

Only one shot of my old Black Pre-facelift Elite Estate, only car I've regretted selling, could have been a cracker.

But since then taken the 2.2 from sub 100k to 165k, think that 3.0 Black Estate was on 190k when I had it. Peach of an engine though!

I think the 3.0l is the best of the lot.

Mine is now over 206k, still goes like the clappers, relatively economical, and lovely and smooth.  If only it didn't keep having black wee wees everywhere

I've had a VERY enjoyable time perusing that lot! :y
Sadly I don't think i'm ever likely to be able to get to a Meet short of winning the Lottery & hiring a helicopter with nurse attendant (stockings & suspenders obligatory kit! ;D) but agree entirely that the earlier years on OOF were vastly superior/different to now and I hang my head in shame for my part in any degradation :(
The OOF is NOT dead, Long Live the OOF! :y

You can no more go back to how it used to be on here than you can to your winkle pickers and kipper ties. So quit whining and take your medicine. :P
