Reverse on Auto Box

Have recently noticed that when I select reverse sometimes the reversing lights and parking sensors are not activated!
Can anybody give instructions on how/if this is adjustable?
Note reverse gear is engaged OK

It'll probably be the selector switch starting to play up. Might be worth removing it and giving it a clean before it starts affecting the gearbox function as well.

Its bolted to side of box, partial obscured by starting cat (so don't attemp it if you've been using car ;D). 2 bolts, i large connector, and a nut for the lever.
