do any of you boys have a spare battery hold down plate thingy? when I undid the 13mm fastener to get my battery out last time I put the retaining plate somewhere.......and couldn't find it again :(

I'm way past that stage,I shall let you know in the morning where it is,next major job on this car in a couple of months is cambelt and renew all the brakes.

Webby,might be worth you picking up 2nd hand Haynes manuals,cheap,plenty of reading time and will help when servicing other cars.
