I'd fit Vauxhall via Trade Club just because they are cheap enough on the TC scheme. Make sure you fit vented if that's what's already fitted (which I think will be fitted to your car)  :y

Sorry, I've never had need to buy the rears, but if as cheap as the fronts won't be much different from pattern part prices. I've just tried to log into the Trade Club, but getting an error  :'( :'(

Yep that TC website is a load of krap!

Personally guess that pattern discs ok for rear as they don't do too much work - I've always used pattern pads on the rear without any problems and TC pads (and discs) on the front.

I see your thinking, but what's the price difference of full retail price of pattern discs & discounted OEM discs?  :-\

How much are pattern pads? TC rears are/were around £20 .................. My R Class's rear pads are all but £100 from MB  :o :o :o

Pattern pads for the rear, incl pins and springs, were about £12.  Used them on last 3 Omegas without issue.  (saving about £24 in the process - not to be sniffed at - bought me getting on for 1/4 tank of petrol in the Jag  ::) )
Similar price to your Merc for rear pads from Jag - pattern (Pagit or Mintex) around £25

Never had to replace rear discs on Omega so don't know prices - shows how little work they do ;)

Pattern rear discs are significantly cheaper than VX, changed mine twice now, but wouldn't like to say if genuine would have lasted longer :-\ car has done over 150k in my hands...

Rear pads can be got for next to nothing, but even genuine pads aren't expensive :y

Just bought a set of genuine GM vented rear discs from Archie Moss via ebay, as existing heavily scored and corroded..found genuine at £105=00 delivered..genuine pads/shims/pins at £9=50 a set

Not sure how far of those prices are on TC but saved me the journey and delivered to my door inside 2 days

from memory, rear vented discs are abou £75 + vat a pair.

Rear pads and discs get a right hammering if you use traction control much.
