Apec pads and discs?
« on: 18 August 2013, 17:44:23 »

Anyone have any experience of this brand? Specifically for rear disc and pad sets.

Not interested in Trade club rear pads.

I would avoid them. They are cheap and readily available. And that is the best I can say about them.

Buy something else.
Anything else.

Thought about EBC 'Green Stuff'? :-\

Fitted 'em all-round on ours, with no issues and very little dust either. :y

took a set of those off the front end of an audi A6.    let's say before I took them off trying to stop the thing was frightening.  replated with ATE and the difference showed how dangerous the APEC stuff was.   avoid APEC

Green stuff could be an option.  :y

What I really want is the OEM rear pads but just can't get them anywhere.

Been looking for Jurid pads (They manufacture the OEM ones) but can't find them either.

Apec fine for dasiy driving ;), its the pad material thats cr••  not good. Shop around lokal factors and you might turn up brembo disc's  just as good as gm and a bit cheaper,
But for rears apec disc be fine,

Dusty without trying... but as the vast majority of my driving is motorway these days I suppose that's all you can expect.

Got OEM fronts and rears on the 3.2 and much prefer the pedal feel, but while I have plenty of sets of OEM fronts (both the early and late styles) I cannot get the rears for vented discs anywhere....

Pads are the same across the range :y last set of rear discs and pads that I bought came from a Vauxhall dealer in Reading, and were on the shelf :-\
