Good few jobs done

on Ljays MV6 manual estate

Took the towbar off
changed the fuel filter
Flushed the Brake fluid
Replaced the front disks and pads.

Not much to most of you, but that is really cutting my teeth, only watched those jobs done before.

I'm getting there with this mechanicing lark  :y
Was a big relief to find it both still went, and stopped when I had finished  ;D

Only problem today was finding the already dodgy looking exhaust is in fact holier than the pope  >:(

Exhaust is a piece of cake Jimbob.
Only snag is if you snap any of the studs on the cats and need to drill them out and replace with a nut and bolt.
The rest is simple especially if you've got some air tools (windy gun and an air saw to remove the old one) Even the rubbers fit easily as they're held on the car with spring clips.
Putting the rear of the car up on ramps will give you room to work easily.
Give it a go and give Mr DTM a rest. ;D ;D

I'm in 2 minds, 'helped' him do mine just weeks ago, snapped stud time, had a bugger of a job drilling and tapping a new hole though...

As the car isnt on the road, may just have a go  :y

If/when the worst happens the front pipe is only 2 nuts a bolt and the lambda plug and its off.

Drill & tap is the DTM pro approach, just drill out and replace with a nut and bolt, job done.

We did mine a couple of weeks ago, had to replace cats so saved having to drill em. Simple afternoon of a job.

I am very impressed. M_DTM will be pleased no doubt, though the terrible twins may not be so chuffed - no excuse for them doing whatever the dynamic duo do when they get together ;D

The fuel filter is probably only 10000 miles old if you want it?

Quite a bit of meat left on those disks, pads are bin fodder though  ::)

Brake fluid, bit dirty, but sure it would do you  ;D

Can you use any broken Pad wear sensors?

Lemme know before I skip em.
