Pattern parts shit and not lasting? Surely not  ::)

To be fair to me I was under the impression that Contitech was a kit make that OOF recommended?

Yeah, I was taking pish  ;D

That and gates are the kits, personally I still get mine from GM as the dealer was so close and handy.

I thought there was a big cost difference from the dealer? Anyway, it's good to know it's ok. Heart was in my arse for a minute  ;D

Normal webby. Every kit I change that's done a few miles has had lots of grease signs :y

I've fitted countless conti kits...

Reading on another Omega thread....

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=85364.0

....it's noted that this exact thing including the squeaking has happened to this dude.

The squeaking down to the paint of the letters printed being thick  ??? WD40 cleared this.....

What do we think girls???  :)

Been almost 3 years since I got one, things have changed. V6 water pumps used to be cheap at dealer. Not sure where I will go next, due one early next year on 2.2 going by miles

I wouldn't be spraying wd40 onto a cam belt. Wd40 is only a water displacement and won't add any value, Cambelt is a dry environment ..

Don't put wd40 anywhere near it, its only any use as a quick diag tool

Always used Conti kits - this as said is normal.

Agreed keep WD40 away from cam belt ;)

It is too dark to see in this photo, is the belt in contact with the backplate?

Yeah sorry for poor quality but I only got my old Nokia and it was dark  ;D

the belt doesn't APPEAR to be touching it and its also clear (just) of the rear cam cover bolts.

Buy an SKF Aux Belt kit for a V6 and you'll get a complete tensioner assembly and a water pump in the box  :y
