Lights out...
« on: 09 December 2013, 23:04:43 »

Literally  ;D...

Looks as if the right side bulb has blown this time round, Did this in the summer and a tap here and there and it came back to life... That didn't work this time  :(

Dash out job then by looks of it ::), Screws behind air vents/steering column if i remember correctly ?

The main beam light has always been dead, Never bothered me so never replaced, So now would be the chance to kill 2 with one stone, Well 3 birds with one stone if i decide to put the eml bulb back...

I'm sure Rob posted a link awhile ago to a place that sell these kind of bulbs somewhere, But i cant find it. Looking for good quality but also cheap  :y

No idea when i'' get round to doing this, Too cold and dark early these days  :-\ ... So i'm in no rush to do this as i can still see the part of the display not lit even in the pitch black, Just enough back light too see.

The self same bulb has blown on mine. MOT is due in a day or two, will it pass with this?
You can see the speedo clear enough.
Cheers.

Remember to get some spares, often others blow when you remove the dash  :y

Or while the dash is out, replace them all and keep the old working bulbs as spares ;)

Yes.
No.
One is low fuel, other is ignition (battery)
Main bulbs pull out of the yellow base, same as sidelight bulbs (501 5W) but are 2 or 2.2W some places call them 510 capless
