im the sort of person who couldnt resist sneaking up in the night and cutting the ropes, used to do it in the scouts when we went camping, those were the days, out in the open, all round the came fire at night singing 10 green bottles sitting on a wall, playing british bulldog and mountaneering and canoeing.

When I was in North Wales, I once played rugby on a pitch not too dissimilar to the one shown.  No bushes, of course, but we had to shoo the sheep away before we started.  

The match was abandoned following a serious injury - turned out it was laid out on a landfill site, and there was some rather nasty scrap metal not far beneath the turf.

I really can't remember what angle the posts were at, but that would only have been of minor interest - no-one wanted to run to either end of the pitch because of the rabbit holes and cow pats.  

Even the Welsh lads in the team lost a bit of their enthusiasm that day.

I did all that as a kid, and when I grew up to become a bigger Kid I did it all again, for many years, as an Akela. Happy Days, been approached twice in the last year to do it again cos i wanted my daughter to Join Cubs, Me I am not fit enough, my daughter, she is happy in Brownies.
