I got a freebie from Vauxhall!

Yeah. A sodding cardbox box for my £90 bits to fix the gear linkage on my Corsa! >:( £90 for a short bit of metal and a few nylon bushes. Bah humbug. AND, that was trade price!

Next bit of fun. Fitting it. :'(

If i was Ron.....id take the vx one back......and go for ebay one (if its the correct one)

Ive taken stuff back to vx dealer even stuff id ordered, full refund  :y

Well I am going to make it worse......they have sold you way more than you need.....

They sold you the full linkage at a silly price, you need the repair kit.....

93183155 - £40.20 + VAT retail or £32 + VAT trade....

.......and the dealer should have known better.....

Right. Yes, the one I got looks like that EXCEPT mine is new and not 'looks like new'.

The one on the car now 'looks like new' but is also 'feels like S-H-I-T-E'. The one I bought 'looks like trade price' and the box 'looks like card'.

So 'up sort of yours!'

Thanks for cheering me up. Right, where is my bathroom tile sabotaging kit........

Take it back and get the repair kit..........'man father' was quite shocked that they hold sold a full linkage to you....

I am not taking it back for several reasons.

1. I phoned up Pentagon for the part details, and the bloke I always deal with there 'sold' me the part numbers.

2. I then rang reg Vardys where I asked for trade prices on the two parts (including little pin). They were 2p cheaper than Pentagon, so I went there.

3. I am a lazy bar steward and can't be arsed taking it back.

4. It is tax deductable anyway

5. Mark is a smart arse

6. I did get a free box.

7. I did get a box with a part number on.

8. Just another reason

9. A reason I forgot

10. Because I can!

so, as previously suggested. upstick advise, arsewise. >:(

What size is the free box?
