First stop for you James is the HR dept to sneeze, cough and splutter all around their desks just to make sure they share your good fortune courtesy of the Bradford index. >:(

Ultrachlorosceptic spray for throat.
Otrivine spray for nose.
Paracetamol and ibuprofen for other symptoms.

No alcohol, and as much water as you can consume, hydration is key.

Food as and when you fancy it, but kiwis are a great source of vitamin c, more so than oranges, and will help.

For energy levels caffeine will help, and can also increase the positive effect of the painkillers, and a drink with b vitamins, or a b vitamin complex pill will be useful.

Finally, a supply cupboard with no interruptions and a few hours work nap would probably help :y

Just got rid of that, had it all week over Crimbo since last weekend, Cols, Flu, Throat, Fever, Trots, and just sooo tired.  :(

Been overdosing on Blackcurrant Lemsip (cant stand the Lemon stuff), mixed with, Honey, Jam, Suger, Apple Juice and a Large Dollop of Southern Comfort or what ever I could find, and lots of extra blankets in front on the TV, was asleep most of the time.

Managed to sweet it all out yesterday, feelling better now and getting ready for my first proper meal in a week, yummy.  :y

When it comes to cold and man flu you cannot beat America pharma.  I know that they have stronger doses of certain things but I have had many drugs tests over the years and never failed one.

Agree with the sweating out post. When Man-Flu strikes I have this big old woollen jumper I wear in bed as well as a pair of thick thermal socks. Drink plenty of Lemsip and have paracetamol at the ready.Seems to work for me.
Hope you feel better soon.

There is no 'cure' for this kind of thing. Ok, you can get pissed on hot toddies, which certainly makes it more bearable, but it's got to run its course.
You used to be able to get contact 400, which stopped your nose running for quite a while but, like everything else that works, they've changed the formula.........to shite that doesn't work.

If its flu you have James....then sweating it out is the answer.....last time i had flu (which was 3 years ago now...have a flu jab now every year)......i got rid of it by sweating it out...goto bed....keep the window shut ( i like to sleep with the window open) , two duvets on the bed....or lots of blankets....and leave the central heating on all night.....ok you will probably keep waking up sweating like a goodun......change your tshirt or whatever you wear in bed and go back to sleep...worked for me 3 years ago....oh and take a pint of water to bed with you so you dont dehydrate  :y

I keep having cold shivers, but she tells me I'm roasting.

I think the diagnosis is fatal.
