Start with checking all the fuses (cabin, relay box and if post 1998, the main fuses above battery)

Would fuses blow if you hooked the leads/terminals up the wrong way? Or would that just be instant 'BANG'?

Back some time ago in the dark... I connected the leads the wrongway (crossed over).  there was a bit of a fizzing sound and the leads are inclined to get fried (a bit) but I didn't suffer any other issues.

If you managed to get the other engine started the leads weren't the wrong way round...

I'd go for fuses first.

Any power to the panel at all? Is the starter motor turning? If so are the battery connections getting hot?

I'm no expert on these, but I believe that the GloPlugs and fuel pump/injectors require correct ECU input, so if all the relays and fuses are OK perhaps you have an ECU problem. :-\

I don't have a TD wiring diagram to hand, but not aware of a single relay that could be responsible for glow plugs and no fuel getting through. Simulataneous multiple relay failure is a bit unlikely.

You say no fuses have blown since jumpstarting another car.

Are other electrical systems working as expected? Is the engine management light coming on with the ignition?

Did you get this sorted Mick?
No EML sounds like there could be no power getting to the ECU (?)  This would prevent both diesel and glow plug.  How do you know there's no diesel coming through (just to check).

If you have a hiccough in the ECU, sometimes you can reset it by disconnecting the battery completely for an hour or two. Then reconnect, cross fingers and the Omega gods may be with you.....
