I washed my down jacket at home following the instructions on the label but this still left it very wet. After 12 hours, water was still dripping off it. So I took it to the laundrette to use the tumble dryer and now it smells like a tramp had done wee wee on it. 

Another 12 hours later, the smell is still there! I'd rather not wash it again because it still hasn't fully dried from the first wash and the down is still clumped together in places. This is also not something I can still in a 90 degree wash otherwise I would have done

When drying, pop a tennis ball in with it, that will break the clumps up a treat

Perhaps air dry it next time, then a ten minute spin in the washer, (should simply spin without adding water), with said tennis ball

I don't have a tumble tryer and I will not be taking it back to the laundrette. The first time I washed it, I used a slow spin which is why it was so wet. A faster spin might damage the baffles.

A tennis ball is a good idea, read this before but don't think it would have the same effect in the washer

It would help on the fast spin only setting, as said shouldn't be any water in it, but might help to wring it out

Are you sure?? When the Nags Head was open, lots of peeps complained there was a smell of wee wee when you were in the pub

I'd wash it again, and hang it either in the airing cupboard or above a radiator......or if a dry day even outside
