Nothing compared to the shock of the nurse trying to inject one.
It would be one jab that bit back.

They not that friendly then Mr Zok?? HollyDog doesnt mind her injections.....as long as she gets her treat afterwards for being a good girl  ::) ;D
They're friendly enough normally, just take exception to somebody sticking a (compared to them) bloody great needle in their neck. I've even seen em bend said needle by spinning around when stuck with it. So naturally if a target to express their displeasure on comes into view they'll go in all fangs and claws.

Currently doing battle with a horror of a bug, pains everywhere, broken glass throat, night terrors :o :o, pissing sweat and haven't moved off the couch all day. I'm loathed to stay off work but really can't see how I can get in and function :(

I had something similar to that when I was away in Seattle last - I still haven't got rid of the resulting cough and sinusitis and it started in the middle of December! But trying to sleep while essentially hallucinating? Worst thing I've experienced so far in my life..

I can see why people jump out of hotel windows sometimes when on holiday. Because I cought something on holiday in Italy that had me in a right state.

Full body ejection both ends might suggest something i'd eaten. But severe delirium, halusintions of a giant roast turkey filling the room, and firmly believing I was Concorde while sat on the bog in said full ejection mode, might suggest a virus. Although it lasted 4 days, I still had ever decreasingly severe episodes for several years after.

Christ knows what that was.

But in a state of delirium and very convincing hallucinations, I firmly remember walking around the balcony 5 story's up and only just keeping a grip on reality enough not to try flying.

A very very unpleasant experience. :(

Some grumble about our Tesco not selling some of the stuff though...

King ell.....even my local co-op sells those ingredients.....
Clearly the difference between Wiltshire and South Milton Keynes ::)

They do have a Waitrose though :-\
Gixer IS Reading, whether he likes it or not. Fortunately, I'm a good 25 miles from Milton Keynes. Phew!

Apparently, our Tescos is quite poor. Supposed to have a decent sized Sainos opening this year, but they haven't even started, and I'm not sure if some stupid, pointless, poxy train line might have killed that idea.

We do, however, have a small Waitrose, that I'm told is quite reasonable for its size.

Once people realise that all the new houses around the South East are a. Shit, and b. Underwater, the only thing left will be to expand MK until it joins Brum to Lundun ;D

In the meantime, you're still a damn site closer to it than I am :D

Its bloody Reading! Reading council. Reading bins. We're nearer Reading. Its just Reading. You know it, I know it, we all know it. Accept it and move on. Sigh...::)

And don't give me all that BT based rubbish about it being Reading as its a Reading(spit) area code. So is Reading a Reading code, as is Burghfield, Theale, Whinnersh etc.

Its Reading.

Bloody village bumpkins. ;D

High does Vitamin C is the answer. At least 3g a day. You can buy the fizzy type for about £1 for 20g.

I need to go to Crawley in a few months, and abandon the car for a week. Reckon it'll still have wheels on when I return?

Being a country bumpkin, I can see things in a simplistic way. You have a conurbation, lets call it "Reading". Then you have some countryside. Then you have another conurbation, lets call it "Reading".

Remind me, is that green, countryside area between you and "Reading", or you and "Reading"? So what town does that mean you live in? :P
