Sounds like cranksensor, put post up the codes stored in ECU (pedal trick) first.
3.2 takes the cheaper of the 2 cranksensors, around £50 on Tradeclub for genuine part (use genuine GM part for this item, patterns and "Bosch branded" seem to be problematic).
Are these "Bosch" branded not genuine Bosch then ? As in counterfeit

I would have thought being Bosch they would be the same as the GM / Bosch part . .same Bosch part no.
GM one was £99 .00 + the vat from my local stealer . . hence I went down the, what I thought was the genuine Bosch route
Its hard to tell, but we see a number of people who have cranksensor problems buy Bosch ones from egay (pretty much guaranteed to be counterfeit) or back street factors, and the problem doesn't go away, until they then buy another genuine one.
Like you, I'd imagine that a genuine Bosch one would be almost the same as what they supply to GM (not sure if they make it specifically for GM for things like cable length etc).
IMHO, given that the genuine one for most of us is £46.12 + VAT on TC, I don't think its worth the risk paying £50 for a potentially problematic (fake or just not quite the same as GM) on in order to save a few quid. Remember, on our V6s, a problematic cranksensor will leave us stranded.
Thanks for reply TB . . I am concerned now that the one I fitted may not be genuine Bosch . . . . although no problems as yet .
It came in a nice yellow Bosch box & was sealed in a Bosch part No. labeled plastic bag
As the crank sensor had already been changed on my car 35k miles ago , I was able to retrieve the old one complete And compared it to the new so called "genuine Bosch" replacement . . it was exactly the same including length of cable

Do the GM supplied ones have GM on them as well as bosch then ?
As I don't have another as a spare i will get a GM one ASAP to put in the boot for emergency use
When pricing up the options The alarming man was also quoted £99 + vat from his local stealer

. although his & my quotes were retail I believe

I asked the parts guy to check it was the right one as it seemed expensive . . . his answer was "there is only one listed for the 2.6 and it's £99.00 + vat "
