Hi all,
The garage that does my car said that I need to replace the Oil Cooler Seal ring. I took the car to the Garage because of oil leak. I was told that leak is from the Seal ring. I have contacted Vauxhall dealers and I was told that Vauxhall no longer make that part. They were not able to supply the part. The Vauxhall part number is 92065012. It is a seal ring for the oil cooler. The car is a 2000, 2.2, v16 Omega-B patrol.  Please does anyone know where I can get a Seal Ring for the oil cooler. Many thanks.

VX dealer more than likely confused thinking gasket under the cooler plate which is now replaced by a grey sealent though thats probably not the part you require speak to your repair garage for a clearer idea of the part failed look here http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90588.0 to give you a idea could be the aluminum sealing rings No 2 in illustration

Sjr47, I checked the  link you specified, and it seems that the oil cooler described in the page is different from the one found in Omega-B Y22XE. None of the parts listed in the page has a part number that corresponds to the one that I am looking for.  The part that I am looking for is part Number 92065012. Please any more idea of where I can look for it?

Ye sorry brain fade did,nt realise it was a 2.2 most oil cooler problems on Omegas usualy on V6s as per photo so disregard my input (must pay more attention )!!

If you end up down a blind alley searching for this part the last resort could be buying length of O Ring cord of the same diameter and fabricating your own we use this method at work when the required size is not in stores (More often than not) on hydraulic machinery sometimes rated at 200+ bar pressure (3000psi ), cut to required length and bond using Loctite  not sure if its 401 or 406 .if the  seal sits in a groove even better for forming & locating O ring.Just to add Viton rubber would be the choice for automotive applications.

  Sjr47, good idea, but fabricating my own seems a complicated thing to me.

No 5 minute job using the old ring as a template splice it with a sharp blade then bond together using bonding agent (like superglue) might not get it right !st time but cord comes in 1m lengths so room for a few cock ups if you don,t get it perfect at first.
