That is NOT a "Tech2" .. it is an ELM327 .. and a clone one as well .. touch not with a bargepole IMHO..

A proper "Tech2" will set you back a lot more than that ...

Read about the Maxscans here ... all made by Autel .. again .. avoid ebay as most of those are illegal copies that generally don't work..

http://www.auteltech.com/

I have the GS500 (no longer made) that is an early Autel maxscan .. excellent bit of kit, but only does engine and a little bit of transmission

So would the maxiscan 309 cover the light that comes up with the car and the spanner in the middle, as it bugs me when i am driving and it comes on.  :(

Links removed as looks suspiciously like an illegal copy of a commercial product.

Good luck getting an Autel to read Omega codes. Will read live data though.

That's not to say the Autel isn't a good scan tool. It's read and erased codes from every car I've used it on except the Omega. Handy for me as I work on lots of cars but as said don't expect it to read Omega codes.

Wonder why it won't?  :-\

Autel GS500 reads codes, erases codes, reads live data on mine, and every other FL omega I've tried with ease .. although it doesn't work on PFL, and has limited success on MFL .. its all to do with the OBDII standard .. if the car is not OBDII then the maxscan can't read it .. :)
