Must admit I thought they were Granada's

I stand corrected. ;D ;D

They were mainly Granada's, with a Consul used in some series Skruntie, so like me you ARE right! :y

In addition to the other web sites I have noted check out this one:
http://www.fordgranada.com/sweeney/cars.php

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Try again Mike! ;D ;D ;D ;D :D

What car did they use in the first series?

Hello Mike are you still there or sulking? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

How the heck, when I AM RIGHT, you still seem to make me wrong.
Fact;
Sweeny in the 70's like I said.
Ford Consul. like I said. if they later used Granada's they were Mk 1's
You lined the link to the 70's and this car to the Sweeny not me.
How is it that as a woman you can still make a bloke, who is right look wrong? I will be back in a couple of minutes. :-[

That is because you stated in your first posting :"At last, Got You.  This is the 80's and the Sweeny was a Consul.    And I am right".  You were wrong on the 80s, and at that point I had not mentioned Granada's, but you thought I did.

Afterwards I  repeated it WAS a 1970s show, and featured BOTH Consuls and Granada's, but mainly Granada's! ;)

Am I right or am I right? ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

As my links show, a Consul in series 1 & 2, with some of series 3 ;  ALL other series and films, therefore the majority, used Granada's! ;) :y

I had one of those.  Only it was called a Scorpio, because it was a German model.  It was the only car I ever bought new - 2.8 GL auto, I think it was.  I had it for 9½ years, then the oil seal at the back of the gearbox failed on a motorway in Belgium.  Belgian law states that whoever recovers the car from the highway is entitled to do the repair.  The hamfisted incompetent morons dismantled the gearbox and put it together again wrong, and my lovely car expired a few months later.  It had done about 200,000km.

Before that I had a 2.8i GLS auto for a couple of years, but that developed a cracked cylinder head - it wasn't that old.

And after that I had a 2.4i GL auto of the hatchback variety - only got rid of that 4 years ago - sold it for £200 to a man who planned to fill it up with set-top boxes and drive it to Spain (it was a LHD model).

Now I'm happy with my Omega. :) :) :)
