Moyes replacement.
« on: 21 April 2014, 15:37:56 »

Papers awash with rumours of Moyes imminent sacking. No smoke without fire, but board room instructions to the manger to "go for Europe" where telling IMO.

United had a relatively simple run in, all they had to do was beat Everton to pretty much secure the rest of the points this season. If they did so, there was a chance of a spot in Europe. However slim.

Fell at the first hurdle after that instruction. I'm all for giving a manager time, but how long, knowing the guy ain't got it.? The performance against Everton was confused and disorganised.

But who will replace him if he goes...?

Mourinho, rumoured to be upset he was over looked in favour of Moyes
Laudrup, great performance with Swansea
Solskjaer, legend in Red. Showing signs of improvement in blue.
Giggs, already player coach at Utd.
A return of Fergie himself?
A few others mentioned but can't see any of them n hunt tbh.

I'll give it a go can't do any worse than he already has ;D

And I'll get a fat pay cheque to boot.

He was always the wrong choice for Man U. Look at his record at Everton what did he achive?

Everton ar on for a cracking finish this season just about says it all really :y

Jurgen Klopp of Borussia Dortmund would be a good choice. :y :y :y

But I think it will be Van Gaal, they could do a lot worse.

Until Christmas I was prepared to give Moyes the benefit of the doubt, but after the poor performances this year, I don't think he has got what it takes to manage Man Utd, so hopefully time for him to go.

Some put Martinez in the frame. Now there's an insult :o

Pep Guardiola even. Yeah right, like he needs another job. He'd be good though.

IMO, Ferguson WAS Utd. No Fergie, the spine is gone.
What sort of iron will does he have that defines the word "believe" ...?

Don't watch football or have any interest but what about one of the long term players/coaches Ryan gigs for example has spent most of his career at the club and still a stalwart

Yep, I agree. Personally.

As most decent managers are employed, a care taker manager to the end of the season will be likely I'd of thought. Giggs being top of that particular list. :y
