Fail story now is, he'll get a 10million pay off. Even though he hasn't gone yet, and completely forgeting that Moyes was previously in a very well paid, very secure job at Everton.

It was always a risk to go to Man Utd. They would have to offer a pay off fee for a Moyes to leave Everton.

Don't watch football or have any interest But what position does this Moyes chap play in? Oh! he's the manager.... I would have thought that the 11 'professional' players on the pitch being paid a 'gazillion' pounds a week would know how to play the game without any manager input???......'Now DUCK'.   :-X :-X

I don't know who will replace Moyes, and i'm about as interested as the 'man in the moon'.. But whoever it is I hope part of his contract stipulates that. 'All teams to play Man U, must put their desire to win the match, second to the manager's desire to 'hang on to his job'.. :-\
I suppose everyone working in the manufacturing industry who has a less than perfect manager, and is on a paltry wage (compared to the prima donna's in football) is covered for turning out 'shoddy work' this week, and every week in fact, and the manager will be dismissed as incompetent ??? Mind you, should any machinist turn out a 'good piece of work', (what he is paid for.) I hope he will be able to run the length of the factory with his overalls over his head, and all other machinists jump on him bestowing hugs and kisses. FGS.. >:(

Giggs to be announced as care taker manager.
That bit I like. Rightly or wrongly. Will he play as well?

Not sure Bout this Van Haal fellow. Tbh. Bit of a knuckle dragger maybe, or is that unfair?

Looks like Man U will follow the crowd in future and sack at the first sign of trouble.  ::)

Moyes had a 6 year contract which seems pointless really if you're going to sack after a bad season and then have to compensate that failed manager.  I wonder how much Chelsea have paid out in compo to their various sacked managers over the last few years?  :-\

Manure's team was on its last legs 2 or 3 years ago.
The squad is full of whining overpaid ego's who thought because they played for manure, they was something special.

Very few of these players were fit to wear the shirt imo compared to the class of 92 who came through the ranks as kids and knew what it meant to wear the shirt.

25 years or more ago, fergie came down from Aberdeen, totally ripped the setup apart and rebuilt it from the bottom upwards.
It took a while but success came but as in all things good, it comes to a end if you don't keep on top of it.
It was just too easy to spend a shed full of money, buy a so called world superstar who would do the business for a season or two then opps off
Fergie was getting old, losing his edge and should have sat back a little and brought his successor in who knew how the club worked.
Imo, Giggs, Scholes and even Beckham should have been a bigger part of the setup years ago to keep the continuity going.

So fergie finally decided to go and leave manure in the shit  :)
He knew he had made mistakes and things would need to be rebuilt up again like what he had to do over 25 years ago so he picked moyes because he knew he would get the job done eventually if left alone for a few years.
Maybe moyes should have held onto more of the backroom staff for a while but you live and die by your decisions  ;D

Right, i'll throw a name in the ring for the job ................ Warren Joyce with Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt as assistants.

If you don't know who Warren Joyce is, do some research on him.
He is manure through and through and was the man behind the development of everything that used to be good about the club.
Even when he was thrown in at the deep end during 1998 at my club (Google the great escape hull city), his heart was always at Old Trafford.
Twice a week, he was down at manures youth academy teaching the young gigs and chums how to play football and what it means to be a manure player.
On his days off, he was in the three tuns pub around the corner from me supping ale and watching his team.

Or if you want a quick fix to keep the plastic supporters and shareholders happy, bring in another big name, spend stupid amounts of money on more ego's to replace the fading ego's that wear the shirt now  :(

I'll end on this, moyes would have got the job done.
That's why he was given a 6 year contract but sadly, the plastics, the shareholders and the media got there way  :(

Unfortunately, I think Moyes undoing was his caution and always setting out his stall (like at Everton) not to lose (and then losing!), rather than to win. This is not the Man Utd way. At the time I thought the job was made for Mourinho and I think we would have had another 20 year long reign manager if he had been chosen. Mistakes were definitely made by MU management and Moyes, by getting rid of all of the backroom staff.

Personally, I think we should go for a younger next generation manager. This might be Giggs with Mike Phelan as his assistant, but would be a risk where Giggs has no real managerial experience. They could do worse than Martinez who has brought Everton on by leaps and bounds with a few good buys and being a better manager than Moyes.

The pressure is now on the Glaziers and the Man Utd management as they can't afford a second mistake. A one year dip is just that, 2 or more years is a decline and takes time and more money to come back from as Liverpool have found out.

Yes Moyes didn't understand the Utd way.

I'm not sure Jose would either though tbh. Although he would be successful. But the press would be hounding him constantly for that little bit of over emotion and loss of control that's never far away with him.

Apparently he's only getting 5 million  ::) Not a bad pay off for 11 months work , at least rooney got his pay rise while moyes was there ..money well spent  ::)
