Trade Card, TC, etc.
« on: 12 June 2008, 11:23:50 »

After seeing this mentioned in an exhaust thread, I wanted to know more. Ok so I had a search without much success other than lots of mentions of it, didn't really learn much.

So for me, and my fellow noobs;

1. What is it?
2. What will it do for me? (save me some cash I presume!)
3. Where/how do I get one?
4. Where can I use it?

Cheers.  :)

1. What is it?

A 'club' from vauxhall which gets substantial discounts on most service items, and often trade price on others.

2. What will it do for me? (save me some cash I presume!)
Yes, see above

3. Where/how do I get one?
Either blag one from your dealers, of join a club with VBOA affiliation, eg Autobahnstormers, Migweb, VVOC few others....

4. Where can I use it?
Most Vauxhall Dealers, see www.tradeclub.co.uk for the list

Cheers.  :)

basically download, fill out the form, send off with a cheque for £20,

2-3 days later a copy of straight six news, and a tradeclub card will drop through your door.

Happy days  :y

The discounts are well worth while mainly on regular (oil, plugs etc) and not so regular (exhausts, radiators) service items.   You'll save the 20 quid on the first shop.

Often they will give normal trade price on other things too.

Its worth knowing that the first time you use it you may need to convince the dealer that it is a real trade club membership and also they will need to set you up on their system,  so don't walk in 5 mins before closing.
