Front, nearest the battery.

Numbers are written on the cam covers, by pot 1. Front nearest air box.

Late Catera is DBW iirc, might be a precursor to failing camcovers, unlikely to be water ingress, as that normally affects cylinders 5 and 6 first...

Also possible, if the mileage is below 100k, that plugs have never been changed :-\

Left hand is 1,3,5,
right hand is 2,4,6

Caterra was drive by wire and coil pack (hence why the cylinder heads had tapped holes from 98 onwards).

But yes, cylinder two is the one nearest the oil dipstick

that i did realize after i had put drivers and passenger side. :),not my fault they buy cars that have steering wheel on wrong side. ;D
