I have got a spare from another engine and when fitted it's just the same.

Is there nyone near my location who could help me out with this?

Would it be better to start a fresh thread asking for 'Hands On' local help?

Regards...Dave

Sorry thought I had already said I am in Wigan  :'(

Stoke and Chester a little far to go without an MOT or Road Tax  ::)

I'll look for someone near me on't'interweb  :-\

So for clarity, you have changed the fuel pump and the pressure regulator, both from another car, which presumably ran with no issues...

Next step then is the cam sensor :y

Get codes read but warm starting issues are usually cam sensor. Its about only sensor engine wise to cause issues on 2.2  :y

I had already swapped the cam sensor off the spare engine but to no avail.

This doesn't mean it was any better of worse condition than the one I removed!

Next to having a limitless supply of OEM sensors etc. this is proving to be very difficult.

I have located a garage in Wigan that have a real Tech2 tester and it's booked in for 8:30 am tomorrow.

Shame there wasn't anyone nearer, I could have put a few beer tokens in a members pocket.

Hope it doesn't cost me a fortune, really can't afford it, wish me luck  :y

Thanks for your time and suggestions, I'll be back to let you know the score  :)

Ok, have you changed the Fuel Rail Pressure valve?

From your last post, it would seem not... :-\

Hi Al,
Yes I have changed the Fuel PRV and tested them both by running the engine and disconnecting the vacuum pipe then waited for 2 minutes to see if any fuel came out.
None came out so I guess this proved it wasn't leaking but the ultimate test would be testing the fuel rail pressure wich I am hoping my man tomorrow can check for me.

Ah, ok :y if anything swapped off the problem engine doesn't replicate the fault on the other one, then you can eliminate things pretty decisively  :y
