After spending 5 nights on single height air bed, my joints, esp my back, was slowly getting sore.

So, I think a double height air bed may help....

Any one got a recommendation?

I came across this one, that seems to fit the bill, tho its got mixed reviews about it.

And as such i'd rather pay a few extra quid and get it from the likes of Tesco's, as it would be easier to get it replaced if it did leak

Hmmm...Queen size would be nice.....but need room for HD in sleeping compartment....

Just put a bid on ebay for a single Intex.....cuts HD's sleeping area down a tad

In the dog house for forgetting to take her bed on hols last week....that she doesnt normally sleep on...as she prefers the sofa 

Tho she could sleep in your tent at Newent.....providing shes got a steady supply of sausages

I have a queen sized Intex bed like Jimbob's and to be honest I find it more comfy than my proper bed!

Some only connect to a 3 pin house socket and state for indoor use only ... i guess you can buy the adapter though if needed

We use the Index queen size one, we got the last from Costco for around £40.

Upsides - stupendiously comfy, and quick to inflate
Downsides - 240v only (so inverter needed if no hookup), heavy, and takes up the space of 3 sleeping spaces (going by tent manufacturer sleeping space sizes).

Do they say anywhere what the power consumption of the pump is? Reason for asking, is, I have 2  inverters, one is a 150w plug in fag lighter socket, the other is a 600w croc clips type for connecting direct to battery .....

All the Intex ones I've used do, though they have all been the queen size models. I'm on our 3rd - punctured one, melted one, and hopefully this one will last

I used a 600W inverter without issue. Entwood's inverter was squealing a bit, so may have been on the edge.


I punctured one of mine with a sleeping bag zip, it caught and snagged one day. For this reason, plus one of comfort if its a bit cooler at night, we often lay a thick blanket on the airbed.

Ah right...cheers....my 150w inverter probably wont be 'man' enough then....
