Haha just read this. Quality thread.

Can someone explain in laymans terms the pros and cons of Scotland leaving? Obviously there's all the talk of subsidies (free prescriptions and the like). But there must be a reason why all the parties want them to stay but, and no offence to the Scottish chap on this thread, i cant really see why.

Well for us  that want independence several reasons  and not Anti English as put by the better together and media  never mind the fact   they forget wales and NI  exsist. 

First we want our own gov  not one voted by the  54m in England but by the 5m  in Scotland. We do not vote tory in scotland as a majority  hence the more panda`s than tories  joke.

If we vote to stay in the EU  and  you lot vote to leave  is that fair because of the majority decided another countries fate and gov.  Our values are diffrent our country is diffrent our people are diffrent.

We want the money we make  to stay here not fund London  we get accused of been scroungers when it had been proven  time and time the Income  generated from Scotland pays our fair share and more.
Other things like the free  crap  well  education is a right not a privilge  we beleive  so you lot voted for that   not us , presciption charges again you lot voted for that not us  . From the comments i red here and other sources  England doesnt quite understand Scotland  except what they read in the paper or other media sources  which well we can see the propaganda lies  I.e  the Cant use the pound what is plan b

Now for a country that is subsidesed thats is alot of  Billions .

WHY SHOULD WE SEND THAT TO LONDON

we want a better fairer country  we want industry we want many things each person indy is diffrent  we do not want westminster and its corrupt london bais system controling us no more.

We can be allies  friends and trade partners we can share the assest and the share of the debt have a currency union.

Or we can still use the pound leave you lot the debt  and get on with our lifes. forget the allies  come the next invasion ,war what ever when you realised how much you rely on us .

I laugh  more about  folk who think Scotland will fail  again  if  we are scoungers  then why is BT and westminster doing every dirty trick to keep us together.   With all these cut backs etc  would it not be best to just get rid of this Country that is a Burden ?? 
Englnd will be a right wing country it will be either the tories or UKIP  . we do not have any ukip mps in parliment and well one tory  says it all ..   we voted snp  and to be honest i do not agree with everything but they seemed to have balanced the books created investment in Scotland improved the lifes of some folk despite the westminster led parties trying to undermine  even if it harm scotland .some have said they would vote no even if it was bad for Scotland  wtf?

Scot have been wanting indy since the union its is not new hell even David cameron has said we can do it lol.

I would question the stance of the westminster parties us leaving will make a dent in the economy and defence

As i read it Scotland will have to join the Euro being a new country in to the EU?

Well the stance is the We get a share fo the assest  or we dont pay  a  share of the debt .  now its down to what ever they negoate  scotland doesnt have borrowing power and the uk treasury has said it will honour the debt what is the assets about 12 trilion or summit which we have all paid into so  again see what tbe powers that be decide,  just the stance is no assets but you pay debt   from Mr Cameron Aye right mate so we are

Europe is a strange one  we already part of europe both europe and scot gov have asked the Uk gov to find out they have refused too  due to it been an indy question.  EU is a pointles areguemnt as alot of us feel we should have a referedum after. 

There is no actual   yes  no  on memership  the BT keep disroting it and throwing it out evey week along with the pound and plan b  story  agaian plan b we use the pound.

As for the Uk well its postition in the eu will be diffrent as it technically is a new country .no one has said scotland wont be accepted nor  has said we will get kicked out

What assets are we talking about? And why should Scotland leave us with all the debt?

And you says scot hate England funny that  with the shit I'm reading its the other way round. But there are a lot of Scottish people that live south because of work and would live back in Scotland if they could get work and they are penalized because of that. 

And not complaining about Scotland leaving at all, never have, just can't see the madness of breaking up a very successful union that on the whole works very well all round. But some people are never happy unless they get it all then find out it aint all rosie and its too late. The whole thing is just a total waste of money and time, Just saying. BTW one half of my family are Scottish.
