The site canteen was talking about how to control world population and also deal with this new plague.
Nuke Africa..wipes out the ebola and saves the millions suffering from No water and No food (doesn't stop them breeding like rabbits mind..?) and would save the millions of pounds spent on the begging adverts on TV.
I did think it was a bit harsh...but having thought on it.....
Ah, yes the Machiavellian solution. I touched on that approach myself in my post above. However, are we Christian, caring for humanity, the weak and the poor included, or do we become pure realists, or there again Nazi's? And before any goes for me, and I am just speaking out aloud and raising that big question for all of us. How far do we go to protect our own? Do we have to make that "hot air balloon decision" of who jumps to save the rest, or do we just let nature and the will of God do it's thing?
No easy answers, and perhaps together we are strong divided we are weak, so better to tackle this together with the rest of the international community but quickly before it is too late!
We certainly do not want to get to the stage of calling "bring out your dead"............and then realising no one is alive to bring them out!

There's a lot of "we's" in there, Lizzie. Speak for yourself. Politicians have for years been saying "we" when referring to the general population, when actually "we" don't agree with with them at all. Us racist, homophobic woman haters can speak for ourselves, thank you.
No, I speak in terms of
our society,
not I but we, together, as a family of humans. That was the point of my post, to raise those questions of ourselves. Whatever
we do together is what is important, because certainly
I have little power to change things one way or another, not that
I am that sure of what we should do together let alone me personally.
We, all of us, need to listen to those medically trained to arrive at any possible answer. Only then can we as a society start to make decisions.
If you push me for a personal, political, outlook on this
I would say that it is unquestionable in nature that the strongest survive, but out of the strong comes the weak which must be protected if
I am to consider myself a Christian, let alone a human being.
"Racist, homophobic woman haters" have no place in my world and should never be tolerated, but pitied as weak spirits of the human species.
