Angle Grinders
« on: 28 October 2014, 12:17:57 »

Afternoon chaps,

Hopefully in the midst of getting my welder :):):):)

In the mean time though I've been considering getting an angle grinder.

Think of my budget as low. And then take 80% off that  ;D

I went to Homobase yesterday and saw an angle grinder for £17.99. Will this do?

Got to be honest I'm quite scared of using this. So is using tin snips for most cutting ok? And hacksawing the rest? Or will I get fed up of that? lol

.... Or will I get fed up of that? lol

Probably. Bear in mind that with a grinder with a thin (1mm) cutting disc you only need access to one side of what ou're cutting, and snips tend to distort the sheet as they cut.

As above, use safety glasses/goggles when you're using it.
