That has been me up to now Debs,
Running the Miggy is no big deall to me at the moment as the mileage is negligable. Tax and insurance is now covered in full for both cars for annother year, and I have to budget for an MOT on the GLS in September, Possible wishbone and defineatly some or all the exhaust from the cat back. Exhaust is no big deal though as I picked up a nearly Vx system from an accident damaged V6 (so a good bit of forward planning for once)
With the future od Gas and Electric and the increases that have been mentioned. Along with a possible move to a new home this year, once moved I need to settle down and re style my lifestyle.
Gadgets will be put on hold, and new computer gear will have to be funded by selling some of the collection as I dont use it/need it anymore.
The cost of a new suite will have to be aquired during the sales when I move, I think I found a buyer for my current one last night, so will make do and mend till a bargain come along. A new TV is on hold, but the bonus there is they keep going down in price and technology improves all the time.
All this due to the thought of lighting and heating the house, currently pay £75 a month for the pair. So £900 P.A. They reckon a gain of 46% so nearly an extra £450 has to be found. That is also with out the extra cost of running the Miggy, which fortunely as I said. I used to do about 500 miles a monthrising to 1000 miles a month in the really good weather. I now only do 2500/3000 PA. So quite a saving made allready.
I am just glad I dont smoke or drink, with the thought of moving (they reckon one of life's biggest stresses) as I would be going through a few quid extra as time trundles along.
Dont like the thought of having to tighten the financial belt, but needs must. Sodding Government certainly dont help.
