There are actually people in this world that fall for this rubbish?  ...well there must be these sharks are still in business so they must be getting customers.

Westealanycar.com.  Thecarpeople. Thecarbuyingservice. They're all the same. Some idiot rolls in and just hands over their car and a hefty profit to the franchise. Idiots.

I doubt they make much profit on Omegas - hence the prices.. I'll bet they just roll them round the corner and weigh them in ;D

Thing is, an Omega is only really valued by people on here, much like a Senator or a Carlton is only really valued by members of Autobahnstormers.

Sad old situation really but it's the same with every car out there over time.

Now look at the price of good condition SD1 Vitesse's and weep.... I scrapped two SD1's in the very early 90's for less than £50 each.... what an idiot!

Yep....you certainly have a point, Mr VXL.

I'm hoping  the passage of time will make the Omega more desirable. :y

How? Why? There's nothing about it that tells me it is a future classic. If you're being followed by one, it looks like an astra, or corsa, or any vauxhall of that era in your rear view mirror. The back end of the saloon is quite attractive, but the estate is plain ugly. So the appearance is nothing special, that leaves the oily bits. They are just typical GM, nothing special.
I think you are deluding yourself. Classics are cars which you remember from your youth, cortinas, escort mexicos and the like. No one young bought an omega. ;D

Even sacks of shit like the Austin 1100/1300 are considered classic cars.  ;D

That's it precisely though isnt it Esta. "The oily bits" being a typical term of the impractical, competely lost by anything remotely fixable and allows a management mentality completely devoid of any understanding of their own business.

The only suprise is your not driving round in a BMW, that's parked over night on lane 3 of the nearest motorway, because that's where they live, right?  ;D

There is nothing clever or exciting about fiddling with cars. It's what old men do to escape the tedium of their lives. :P
