Thing is, an Omega is only really valued by people on here, much like a Senator or a Carlton is only really valued by members of Autobahnstormers.
Sad old situation really but it's the same with every car out there over time.
Now look at the price of good condition SD1 Vitesse's and weep.... I scrapped two SD1's in the very early 90's for less than £50 each.... what an idiot!
Yep....you certainly have a point, Mr VXL.
I'm hoping the passage of time will make the Omega more desirable.
How? Why? There's nothing about it that tells me it is a future classic. If you're being followed by one, it looks like an astra, or corsa, or any vauxhall of that era in your rear view mirror. The back end of the saloon is quite attractive, but the estate is plain ugly. So the appearance is nothing special, that leaves the oily bits. They are just typical GM, nothing special.
I think you are deluding yourself. Classics are cars which you remember from your youth, cortinas, escort mexicos and the like. No one young bought an omega.
