Of course Andy, can't be everywhere. In between them & 2 serious RTC's one whom isn't very well at all, several burgs, thefts of cars,  fights in the T/centre. Didn't stop all night from the moment I left the nick at 22:30 til I got back in at 07:20 (should have finished at 07:00). Tried to have 2 brews, forget it!!! and food..........no chance!

......and that is the best the public can expect if the proposed government cuts go ahead over the next 5 years!

The police are already stretched with never enough patrols out to deal with all that transpires "on the streets", so post cuts...........well, I just do not know how it will be but it will leave most law abiding folk feeling very vulnerable.

Reduced crime figures?  No, more like crime going undetected due to a lack of officers!

So bear this in mind when voting next year! :-X
Like it makes a difference who gets in.

Then let's make it have a difference. The public should really start to wake up and smell the coffee on this one! :o

Good grief, I admire your spirit, but no money means no money and there's an end to it.

There is loads of money, shed loads of it.  I know, because I pay into it.  I take bugger all though.  I have no Children, so I don't use schools, I've never voluntarily stepped into a Library.... The only time I utilise a swimming pool is when I'm in hotter climes.

Street lights?  I have headlamps.

When the Government realises that throwing wads of cash at Foreigner's who send that cash 'home' is a bad idea, I may be a little less annoyed.

That is only one waste of our nations economy, though.  There are many, many more.

Indeed, quite correct.

Thing is, IMHO, history just repeats itself, A certain bunch get in power because those not old enough to see what they did last time vote them in, that bunch then bring us to the brink of bankruptcy, those with some sense vote in the opposite side who need at least two terms to sort out the mess and then the whole process repeats itself again.  :-X

Jason, it should be MANDATORY that you take proper refreshment breaks as your job is 'full on' right through the shift with maximum awareness needed at all times. A lack of food and/or drink for extended periods especially so at night, will rapidly deplete your physical & mental state due to low blood sugar putting you at increased risk of an unintended consequence. Imho, your Fed. Reps. should be fighting your corner on this issue, especially now that budget cuts mean less of you to shoulder an increasingly heavier burden. Just my tuppence worth ;)

Except, this time, I don't think it will ever be 'sorted out'. Too many outgoings and not enough coming in. I won't go into finance mode again, but peoples' mindset has changed. Even those with money are refusing to spend/invest it, and I don't blame them.

Not when it comes to State security it doesn't. There is always a way if politicians are forced into it, and this must take priority over other expenditure - welfare and the NHS, plus the full enforcement of company tax legislation without exception on those that operate in this country. Billions are being lost there and could pay for the security shortfall.

Regardless of who gets into power I personally think that not one person has the balls to sort the present problems out , they all talk the talk but they  are scared of offending anyone, we are too far down the slippery slope.

Sorry, I'm not taking the P*** Phil, but when we're so stretched as we are there's no chance! I was the only patrol free, in custody trying to have a brew when a job came in, man knocked off his motorbike, in a bad way, blood everywhere. Do I sit back & take another slurp of tea, or go deal with it???? That's what it was like ALL night! one thing after another. AND DON'T get me started on last night...............!!! 15 RTC's in 1 hour!!!!  :y :y :y

Fed reps are just a toothless tiger who just nod & shake when told to!

The current monkies have no money because the previous monkies spent it all.

Voting in new monkies or previous monkies will achieve very little, retaining the current monkies does at least keep any momentum going...  :-\
