Thanks, STMO.
Will it be obvious if I have them or not? I've not had to change any front bulbs in the 6 years of my ownership of the car.

Ron.

They slightly flicker when they first come on....and if standard fit you will self levelling suspension  ;)
Not on the F/L CDX ;)

Hence I edited my reply....see above  :)

It was brilliant back in 98 when i first started to drive at night if you were doing something a little silly (well my first car was a carpi) and saw another car in the distance with zenons coming up quick is was a 99.9% likely to be a police omega. In my younger years i was pulled over nearly every sat night as i was always a designated driver and it was always an unmarked model in burgundy or blue with hubcaps.

I had that when I first started going out with my current ol' bag. I was young (a mere 21) in an Astra GTE in the obligatory Glacier White, and she lived about a mile from Blackbird Leys (which isn't a bad place, but got a reputation in the media as it was where they managed to capture joyriders (in stolen GTEs) handbrake turning near the shops and tower block).

I could guarantee a tug 3 or 4 times a week when driving home after midnight.

I used to get pulled over virtually every week end going from Rosyth to home and probably back again. My record was 3 times in one Sunday night/Monday morning.
My car was a MKIII Cortina ....... never happened ever again when I sold it.

I feel like I missed out.. ;D

(No, universe, if you're listening - that doesn't mean I want pulling over on the way home tonight!)

 ;D ;D

That's quite alright thank you kind Mr Policegentleman .. I'll stick to being incognito on the roads! ;D

(Although I'm half expecting a letter in the post after my trip up the M1 at Christmas - there were lots of white flashes, I'm hoping they were for other people given the relatively low speed I was doing!)

It was those headlights on the then new Omegas that saved me getting a ticket way back..............driving fast along the M4 towards Bristol in my Carlton 2.0 CD, in my rear view mirror I caught sight of those lights half a mile behind and knew (as I had friends in Traffic) it was most likely a police unit, slowed down and allowed the chap immediately behind me to overtake. He, then a police marked traffic unit overtook me and the latter pulled in the poor guy who had overtaken me, who actually had been driving slower than me!

Once more, missed a bullet as, touch wood, always have done! ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;)
