Your Most Dissapointing Car
« on: 29 June 2008, 19:25:58 »

So what is your most dissapointing car you have bought.
Mine is my 2002 bmw 525i sport, it certainly looks the part but for an exegutive car, you would think it would be spacious but your wrong!!!!
It is tiny! I have an 8 year old son and he cant even fit in the back comfortably. Saying that, i drove down south the other day and me and the family could not get comfortable, they are so uncomfy.
Another problem is its gearbox(Automatic), it changes gear like nothing i have ever seen.
Everyone says that they are really good, well i am saying that there far from good but they are not bad, they are quiet, fast and looks superb :y
The Omega is just so much better.

So whats your most dissapointing car?

i don't think i have had one yet......

the one i would hate to be a disappointment would be the car i have always wanted, a Porsche 911, i have yearned after one for as long as i can remember, and i hope that it lives up to that expectation otherwise it will be the biggest disappointment of my life

yes danny before you ask, you can have the 525i for £500

awww cheers!!

seriously its a shame they're so cramped!

i've only had 3 cars, my first being a 1.0 corsa C which had 71k on it at 4 years old, and was feeling like 171k!! they're not the smallest of small cars and a 1.0 3 cyl engine is seriously way too small, so that would be my most disappointing car, especially as it had no toys, AT ALL (not even central locking :() after that was my 2.0 omega, which was fantastic, then the elite i have now which is also fantastic, but i need it gone cos my thousands of short journeys are killing it one way or another :(

a mate of mine from work (who spent a lot of time slagging my car off, purely in a jesting manner) asked me for a lift to manchester to go buy a mondeo (dirt cheap) and even he was shocked at how roomy my car was

people just have no idea about the quality and amount of car you get with omegas til they sit in one!

For me it's the Citroen AX the biggest pile of pooh I have ever had the unfortuate displeasure of both owning and driving.

Followed closely by my 1984 VW Polo,

and in third place in my sh1t parade is the Mk3 Escort was rustier than a rusty thing when it went and smoked 50 fags a day!

4th place goes to my Mk1 Ford Mondeo Ghia, handled well but went through wishbones quicker than i change my pants!

5th place goes to yet another Ford the 1987 Granny Scorpio 2.9 lovely to drive but had a hole in the fuel tank (not literaly)

6th Rover 820Si 1996 had less torque than an elastic band, rest of the car was ok though.

7th Yet another Ford a purchase from e-bay a Scorpio Cosworth, stunning car to drive but butt ugly, was fast and  quiet but far too many electrical gremlins.

There have been a few!! Hated my 94 astra. But it was free and went well, just hated the thing! Uncomfortable and in that stupid purple thats logged as 'blue' on the paperwork!

A citroen XM that was haunted and used to start itself, wipers on and off as they liked same with windows. No lights then lights on in day!! Was quite funny to think about now... but not at the time  ::)
