CCR2006? Yes it can. The process involves intercepting some of the wiring within the head unit, and running the feeds and returns to a switch (so you can select CD player or MP3 Player) and then connecting a line level device to the selector switch - in my case the little panel mount MP3 player.

You have to work out how your going to route the cable and what power source and device you want to use. I wanted to have something that could be hidden away easily without having to detach cables etc so this device fitted the bill, I just shut the ashtray! The ashtray has the benefit of having a readily available power source! All connections I made are soldered and a fuse was also incorporated in the power feed, the ashtray has seen some modifications in order to accommodate the install.

So the mp3 player feeds 3 wires L. R and a common -   And you have powered it from the 12v cig lighter and dropped the voltage..

Correct, but you'll also need to return the signals back via a switch if you want to keep the CD Changer working. MP3 device i'm using is happy with 5v - 14v without issue but I have put a fuse in circuit.

I can't pronounce it  ;D

But suffice to say it's an incredibly cheap Chinese job off Ebay!

Does also have a remote control, FM tuner, Line in (for another device) and supports SD/MMC and USB memory sticks, of course if you want to shut the ashtray with the memory card still installed you'll need to use an RS-MMC card!
