Suitable replacement for a 1.2 litre Corsa>
« on: 14 March 2015, 21:26:19 »

This rabid, and rapid little bastard, goes like shit off a shovel.

It is a crude device though.

No A/C......no ABS.....even the spare wheel is missing to help save weight.

Maybe if I was 20 years younger. :'(

Pug 405 Mi16 4x4 would be my choice, but you can't beat small Froggy hatchbacks with revvy engines for pure entertainment 8)

Torque steers badly in the first two gear, Al.

I suppose that is to be expected when you put 172 BHP through the front tyres. So much for progress because a 172 Cup is far more accelerative than the latest clit 200. It really is a manic little fooker. :D

Ignition cut out is normally at 0000RPM when the oppsing immobiliser won't reset because it's French and has the hump for no reason.

Renaults - no, not under any circumstances.

I loved my Renault 19 16v and my 5 GT T, always fancied a clit Williams. Having been on track around them they are very handy little pocket rockets.

I'd buy it but I don't have any baseball caps to wear back to front. ;D

Very low geared too.

19 MPH per 1000 RPM it top gear. Same as the Corsa. Certainly not a long-legged relaxed tourer.

Only 1.4 litres if memory serves.

No. Does it show?

If I added enough emphasis to get my point across, the swear filter would blow up.

1.8 Corsa, that would do.

1.4 OHV, pushrod engine with its origins about 30 years prior to the R5.. But a hoot with the boost wound up to triple the standard figure ;D

Very very few new cars come with a spare wheel these days.Instead you get a can of inflator/sealer type stuff! On at least some of these cars you can specify a spare wheel but of course that is now an extra cost option!
