Has she got breakdown cover with relay?

Get it towed a couple of miles in the direction of chez Serek and then a quick phone call. "Well, I was off to see my aunty in Huntingdon when there was a big bang and the clutch won't work any more". :y

She broke down near Manchester so she already used the AA to get her back home to Warwick.

Great idea though. :y

Foiled again, Aaron. ;)

I dunno, Kate says it won't last..  :P ;D Alternatively if she takes after her mother.. Kate are you single and attractive?

OK, I'll stop now before TB bans me as some kind of sex pest.

Kate, last time I looked there's usually people advertising on eBay to transport cars (make sure they're insured etc!) relatively inexpensively as well..

Ah...I see.....you're partial to a milf. ;) :D

The only quote I've managed to get is £90.

Seems a bit steep.

75 miles, I think about £1.50 a mile is the average so £90 sounds fairly good..

One pound a mile for the round trip rings a bell... so from base to car, then car to garage, then from garage to base... :-\

£90 seems really cheap to me: we charge £1.20 a mile base to base, plus the call out. And the VAT.
Although paying cash helps a bit.

Perhaps Vamps meant I'm too young for you ;) as for size, the last thing I'd call anyone is fat (unless Vamps meant I'm too fat for you, which given I am the size of a small elephant might also be true!)

Sooo back to Mini gearboxes before I offend anyone else?  :-[

If the pedal has gone hard then there is something restricting the slave cylinder movement, as stated by others, if it was just a fluid leak then it would be dead easy to press.

Can the gears still be changed?

Not a pleasant job Mini gearboxes/clutches.....not nearly as bad as VW diesels but still not great.

Thanks Mark.

Would it be best to take the car to Serek do you think?

It sounds like a big job?
