Bought my cambelt kit, and never saw any of this alleged 50% off thing. Up there with DFS etc... in my humble. Still decent prices, just slight gripe with all forms of cunningly misleading marketing.

Hope thats not the engine with the dodgy piston rings/ bore liners. ???

1ZZ-FE so, yes, the one with the dodgy oil control rings & drains (revised in 2003) that can lead to oval bores and excessive oil loss.. Nope Never uses a drop of oil and dont smoke  :y

Although at that age if it hasn't gone then it probably won't go (unless neglected). Full service history  :y

2ZZ-GE (in cars with "VVTL-i", so the 190hp versions of the Celica etc) are unaffected

Car has been well looked after , service records for every full service from new , done 88k and still looks like it just left the factory  ;) Very happy with it , im an old git so i would be  ;D

Anyway about ECP  ::) It seems they can pick and choose what the 50% actually applies to ... ive seen exact same service parts up to £5 cheaper on the bay  :(

You didn't actually believe it was a genuine sale, did you?

Its not. Its a pure marketing ploy, as (particularly the British) buying public are thick as 2 short planks. Hence the furniture, carpet, double glazing, January Sales etc etc all use it.  The goods were always intended to be sold at the "best ever sale" price.

When does EuroShiteParts ever not have a 50% sale?
When they allow you to use the proper Trade / Club Discount Codes on there normal prices, which Ive not been able to do for nearly a year now.  >:(

Probably wont be using them again it seems.  ::)
