I can assure you, 285BPH and 440Nm is not a problem through the front wheels provided you know how to drive.

Just sayin', like!

The aggresive map (I'm guessing number 1) will just speed up the throttle map (x1.5), so 50% throttle = 75%.  It's not nice with an auto.  I've got a similar map (I can change on the fly between economy/normal/sport).  The only difference being;  Economy:  Runs in closed loop all the time.  Normal: Bat shit crazy, but can be controlled. Sport:  Bye Bye front tyres, and that roundabout I just negotiated is covered in smoke!

And if you are getting 6.6 0-60 from a Signum, you have either got numerical dyslexia, or your readings are very wrong.  That 2.8V6 in a 9-3SS will achieve that, but only in Manual form....... and it's a lot lighter.

Is it possible your car has already had a re-map?

Racelogic performance box. :P

Which is dead accurate.

Yeasterday managed 6.46 seconds in 98.21 metres. ;)

Then your 4seat sports car is deffo not standard.  I'd be very surprised (in the real world) it would break the 7 second barrier. (or is the 6.46 with the oppsmesideways map)?

Most car mags test two up and with a full tank of petrol. My figures were obtained driver only and low fuel.

The difference being probably close to 200 KG. This is enough to drop it below 7 seconds.

My car  seems a particularly 'fit example' of the marque. :y

I can honestly say I have never been in a Signum V6.  I have, however been in a 9-3SS 2.8V6 which is practically the same engine, but with a higher output, lighter weight and more stable chassis.  I don't think that would make 6.6 seconds.  You must have a belter!  :y

I think I may have.

On the same acceleration run it covered the quarter mile in 14.93 seconds at 97.38 MPH.*

Very impressive.  The equivilent 9-3 does 1/4 miles in 15.3seconds.  It's 150KG lighter, has much more torque and a few more Ponies.  Send the Bluefin back!!!!!!  :-X

How does this bluefin work... Does it remap & then get unplugged or do you leave it plugged in to enable you to fiddle about as you're running ?

+1

Never see or heard of this set up. Always wanting to learn tho  :)
Anyone care to shed some light for those of us not in the know ?

From what I remember you plug the thing into your port and it downloads a copy of your ecu mapping, you then email that back to SC, who pick one of the predetermined adjusted maps (dependant on your original), and email it back to you, and you upload to your ECU.
You always have the original map on the handset just in case you should ever want to revert back.
If you find the new map either too harsh or not mad enough you can contact them and they will give you another map, either less or more practical.

This is no individual map service, but are one of the better generic map sellers!

The LP9 in the 9-3 was 400Nm on the later models (350Nm for earlier models).  The Signum was 350Nm (or 330 for the earlier models).

Same Epsilion chassis, built in very different factory's, with very different parts.  One is a far superior drive than the other - I'll let you make your mind up which!

Interestingly, in the Insignia VXR, it makes 320BHP and 435Nm as standard (And I know they can be mapped for more).

It makes me laugh when people compare the GM Saab's to Opel/Vauxhall.  Short of brake discs and pads, there are few interchangable parts.

So, what would one pay for an ECU remap that would give me 'only' 10-20% BHP performance improvement on my 2.6 ?
