Hi.

When using a Bluetooth ODB code reader (on Face Lift Omega - Pedal trick not work  :'( ). Does the ignition need to be on ? Does engine need to be running ?  Not used one before so will be my first go with my Dads Omega at weekend.

May have some codes in from the  rought running at start up ? Which I hope cleaning the throttle body body has cured  ???

Thanks in advance.

Andy.

Thought they usually request ignition or engine on as it sees fit. No?

If a real cheapy, and no response, ignition on.

Depending on what you want to read from the car.

If just codes, then ignition only.

If you want live data then the engine must be running.

Again, depends on which App you have as to what you can get from the vehicle.

Have downloaded the Touque App.  Only really want to see if there are any codes which may help pinpoint rough idle and cough on startup.

I shall no doubt report back over the weekend.

Have a good weekend all.

Cheers.
