Only noticed the other day I had some pretty bad inner wear on my OSF tyre. Odd really as I couldn't feel anything except a tiny steering wheel wobble at high speed.

New tyre now fitted and tracking done but a very good tyre ruined.

Identify the broken bit, replace and get it set up properly otherwise the new tyre will do exactly the same thing

The new one will go very much the same way unless you replace the defective suspension bush that's causing the issue. Tracking will do sod all

It's going in for its mot on the 4th August so I will ensure it gets checked out.

Yep, and it will likely ruin another one due to excess CAMBER. ....NOT tracking. Excess cam per can be due to a failed bush or bad adjustment after suspension work


At very least get camber checked o full get set up rig, such as hunter hawk eye. Fleet fit  Loughborough nearer than wheelsinmotion.co.uk for you are they?

A thousand miles is enough to completely destroy a tyre with a poor set up...

Also see this guide. Set up cost money, so to make the most of it, it's worth checking the rest of the components first. No point paying for set up then finding it needs parts for the mot or to rectify the underlining cause, that need set up again.

I refuse to drive on that tyre. At most I will do a few hundred miles between when I have it done.

Chris. Yes I will make sure any components are replaced prior to any set up being done buddy.
