« on: 29 July 2015, 15:44:31 »

Can't find the loom for the rear blind . Ive put the blind in

CDX might not have the loom fitted from the factory... especially a late one :-\

Be stuffed in the nearside parcel shelf cavity above the wheel arch if it's there... does it have the heated rear seat loom under the seat base? If yes the it will have the blind loom... if not, then it won't.

Be possible to acquire the looms for both and run them along the nearside sill and into the dash wiring at the two big plugs behind the front passenger kick panel. The wiring for both WILL be present in the dash

Just had a look in the maintenance section and seen this quote ...

Quote
Whilst in the boot look in the far left hand corner, there will be a multiplugs connector, this is the power supply for the blind

I have the multiplug but nothing clipped into it from that leading up to the rear blind , no rear heated seats in mine . Ive asked s'fish who sent me the blind if he can look for the short loom otherwise ill be forced to power it up from a battery and leave the blind up  :y

No big deal as i leave the blinds up anyway but would be nice to have it all working .

Most on here seem to be of the opinion that  the rear blind is a pain in the arse.

Is it worth the aggro, Mr Emd?

CDX won't have heated rear seats... But the LOOM may be present... If it is, then the blind loom will be there somewhere...

Don't piss about with a short loom, obtain the whole blind loom, including the pins/sockets from tue plug in the passenger kick panel... Fit the pins/sockets in the correct pin location in this plug and simply plug the other end in... :y

If the blind was supplied without a plug then I would be looking for a refund :-X

Not sure what you mean , the multi plug is already there nearside on the car . Im missing the cable from the blind to the said multi connector so the loom is already there . Just need that short piece from blind to connector  :y

I don't understand how you can't supply the loom and plug with the blind, you'd surely have to cut it to achieve that?

Blind is a multi plug , just unclips . I presume he just uncliped the blind from the motor under the parcel shelf but its the wire from the motor to the cars loom that i need . if i cant get it ill just power the blind up and leave it up .

I could run wire from the motor to the multi plug or probably get another multi plug and wire it in that way ..

Caveat emptor.

Get your money back and use it to acquire the correct loom/switch both of which should have been included ::)

I've never yet seen one sold without that lead attached, certainly the three I've bought have been complete. Oh well.

Worth going to a professional? Do you still have enough tint to supply to a company?
