Malfunction indicator
« on: 25 August 2015, 12:16:22 »

Hello everyone

On towing the caravan home the other day the warning light came on. Car is running fine apart from the spanner light illuminated. Took the car for a drive yesterday and although the light went off it soon came back on again. Did the pedal test and code 0650 came up indicating Malfunction Indicator Control Circut/High/Low/Open.
What does this mean and how do you rectify it.

Thanks for looking. Car is 2.6 CDX Estate.

Just checked. Didn't think of looking for other codes. 0325 has also come up indicating Knock sensor 1circut low.

Crank sensor was recently changed a couple of months ago using genuine parts. Could this cause a faultly signal. Car seems to be running fine with no noticeable problems.

That's the fault then.  Although always worth clearing the codes, and see what comes back, if possible.
