my memory doesnt serve me well but Jamesv6cdx will update any missed points. he came to see my car today, arriving about half 1 and leaving about 20 minutes ago (yes, THAT long!)
my mother and father made 2 new friends by the names of maria and hannah

the discoveries we made on my car that the untrained eye wouldnt know about, the coolant feed to the evaporator was going all the way round the world before reaching the evaporator so james re-plumbed it all and refitted the original feed to the throttle bodies, thankfully we had plenty of piping, had to get fresh joins,
james will also tell you what 2 of the pipes were joined with!!
the wiring to the RPM wire was pretty much just taped to it and not properly connected, which has now generated a fault so now the LPG ECU thinks the car is at 2000 revs when its actually at idle around 450!!
the LPG ecu unit is in the scuttle drain, but the original fitter decided to THROW AWAY my pollen filter, so i have no pollen filter

some wires were bare and VERY shoddy, the one to the lambdas was completely cut!

THIS is the biggy though[/size]
the probable main cause of the lumpy running, spluttering, apparent misfiring, my several thousand visits back to the garage, and stalling when changing to gas AND when changing back to petrol was something SOOOOOOOOOO so simple!!!!! (and we nearly didnt spot it!)
the filter was on the wrong way round
the bloody filter.....
the WRONG WAY ROUND!!!!
had to break the clips to turn it round, runs PERFECT on gas, but i need to fit jubilee clips on or it'll pop off, so on petrol tomorrow while i go get some! it even changes over from petrol to gas seemlessly, and back to petrol
been in talks with people since james left and unfortunately since i involved james (best move i ever made) i dont have a legal leg to stand on
thought about going to the papers or even TV but i'm not sure if they'd be interested, though i will speak to someone to find out if they can be prevented from ever converting cars again as a business!
James, a few words of thanks, a handshake and of course the fuel money for your journey will still never come close to how much i really appreciate you coming offering your knowledge and help, really does mean alot especially given the agony this car (really the garage) has given me!! you're an absolute star and a proper gent!!if i need to hang on to the car for a while to sort out the LPG's RPM signal fault then thats fine
