Dead battery - can't get into Neutral

Hi all,

2002 Omega MV6 Auto

Battery is dead, bonnet cable has snapped which is a bugger as well. Cars on a neighbouring driveway but needs to be shifted.

I can't get it out of Park so that I can push it into the road for further investigation, which I believe is because the battery is dead and there's no power - is there a manual override to get into neutral so I can, at the very least, get the car moved?

Yep... It's in the manual ;)

Pull the gear shifter surround up and there is a little yellow lever on the side of the stick at the bottom. Right hand side IIRC.

Are you sure bonnet cable snapped. Sometimes getting a helper to push the front of the bonnet down and pulling the lever the bonnet will open.

I'm not even going to try working that one out Zirk!Took me long enough to figure out what dilligaf meant ;D

Please read the manual-I already knew this one.
OIYSP-I managed to work out
It's the longer one that Zirk posted that's got me,but then I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer :D
