Buying some outdoor LED xmas icicle lights , never put them up before but the product says ...

Where would you put the power wire into the house ?  :-\ Was thinking through the window then close the window as long as that dont crimp the wire  :-\

I normally use the same hole thats used for the Kitchen Supply thats connected to the Street Light outside. ;)

I have one that goes out through a closed pvc window, has done for years without ill effect. You could also get a weatherproof box if you have an outdoor socket..

Then he must have stolen a long extension lead before he left!

Why bother putting a hole in your house? Just bypass the meter.  :)
