2006 Ford Ka rear spring replacement
« on: 21 March 2016, 18:58:35 »

Evening gays, I mean guys. how are we???

got the above job in tomorrow for an MOT repair. are they easy (i.e. unbolt shocker, leaver shock down and remove / replace). or are they really difficult like the ford focus rear springs?

I'm hoping the former  :y

I think you'll find it very similar to doing  front struts. remove the coilover, compress the spring and undo the topnut.

Yes, they have a small spring that fits around the upper half of the shock.

From personal experience, you will, find the shock will be equally as shot (compress it and it wont return)

Yes that little clip hidden away, makes you wonder how it holds.  If you feel tough you can just compress it enough by hand and get someone to flick it out  ;D
