Hi all,
Just noticed that there is oil weep from some of the bolts that hold the cam covers on. I am going to clean the breathers again.
In your opinion fellas, is it worth checking the tightness of the bolts, or are they best left alone. I can't see any leaks at all from the covers anywhere else, and I don't want to start things leaking.

I can't see any harm in checking bolt tightness-as long as you don't get tempted to give them an extra "tweak" and just stay with the correct torque value.

Cheers, Baz....I have the torque wrench. Knowing how critical these torques are and the gaskets, I thought I had to ask the question

Also worth taking the bolts out, giving the holes a clean with brake cleaner to get rid of the oil and then dipping the bolts in black sealant and torqueing them back down as said Tony 

Don't forget to give the breathers a bloody good clean though as that's probably the cause of the leak anyway

Cleaning the breathers now TG....giving them a really good soak and a blow through with the compressor. The little tiny holes are all clear.
I know there is a guide on doing the box on the other end of the hoses, but its not easy to get at, is it.

Depends on if your belly gets in the way when your leaning over it 

Once past the gut problem, i've got a whopping big syringe which I use for emptying the plug wells out with.
It came with a big needle and 2ft of pipe so with a little brake cleaner in the syringe, its great for poking in there and blasting / sucking out any crap
Just got to make sure you don't stick too much in there or you end up having to change the oil

Doing breathers is entirely pointless without cleaning the breather box ports too especially the small pin prick hole

Ironically, that does play an important part !!!!!!! When you say blast with cleaner, what do you call 'don't overdo it'

A quick blast of cleaner won't do the oil any harm 
Just don't pour the stuff in
