:( Crème eggs are smaller

Cadburys Kraft Foods   >:( (or whatever they are called now) insist that isn't true, and claim they would need new machinery to do it.

New packaging design is always a good sign that they're changing the quantity.

Minor correction

Yes when Kraft Foods bought out Cadburys and closed the factory at Keynesham near Bristol, they moved production to Poland where the Creme Eggs were produced to EU metric standards.  ::)

Sadly for us metric Creme eggs are smaller than their British Imperial predecessors!  :(

In order:

So we've all been driving General Motors Omegas and not Vauxhall Omegas. After all, GM has owned Vauxhall since 1925!

And yet the weight of a Creme Egg has apparently increased, which is odd if they're actually smaller. I love them, and haven't noticed a difference. And since when did the General Conference on Weights and Measures bother issuing a standard for Creme Eggs?

Mars bar originally 68g.

Pretty sure they weigh less than that now.

This is true, but is explained by the fact that they no longer use Dairy Milk chocolate, but a cheaper chocolate formula which is denser.  :o

Hence the new metric eggs are smaller and heavier!  :)

On the bright side all bog paper these days is of the "soft" variety, unlike the San Izal stuff of years ago. That stuff was so shiny it skidded and would cut you to pieces faster than a cutthroat razor if you didn't take care!

Where everything is being downsized will they eventually call a can of Baked Beans a can of Baked Bean? ::) :o :o

Our free toilet paper seems to be getting bigger, must be due to the price of houses and the bigger estate agents adverts. ::) ::) ::)
