How many bolts/screws hold this on and what size/type are they.Thinking for dropping this off to empty coolant without dumping it all over the floor.

Only 4 bolts, about 10mm, if memory serves. :y

8mm, but, as above... only four of them :y

Expect a face full of muck as you drop it :D

That said, to drain the coolant, you don't need to drop it...

Get the car hot, with heater on Hi (fan on lowest setting).
Turn full left lock.
Drain plug sits on lower left hand end of rad and is accessible from wheel arch.
Place washing up bowl under the drain spigot.
Slowly undo header cap.
Open drain screw carefully, a half to full turn should do it.
Check coolant is draining into bowl.
Go and have a cuppa.

Refilling:
Close drain plug.
Pour 5 litres of neat GM coolant into header tank.
Top up with distilled water upto max mark.
Leave cap off.
Start car.
Set heater to Hi, (fan on lowest speed).
When radiator fans kick in, burp the top hose 4/5 times.
Top up to max with distilled water.
Refit cap.
Job done.

May be just me but I've always been a bit wary of disturbing things like drain taps,so was going to drop undertray to get at bottom hose.Might give drain tap a go though as it sounds easier/quicker and with my luck what could possibly go wrong :D ;D ;D

Yes, partly why mine hasn't been fixed. Messing with it could make it much worse!

I wonder what size O rings it needs?
