Unfortunately there are times in my Job when I have to tell people things that they do not want to hear, or even take actions that they really do not want to be taken. During these times I have to put up with lots of verbal abuse and often face several people who have ‘joined’ in and it can be quite intimidating, and as you say, I only want to do my job.

I used to be able to take all this in my stride, and I am very good at talking situations down, but it became increasingly hard work, once my health took a tumble. You have other worries on your mind and you are feeling tired, so are likely to be feeling more vulnerable and be less able to brush off, what are more than likely the typical idle threats. These being quite frequent from some sections of society who have little or no respect for any authority, until they need their help. Those lads would be the first to come running to you if some other scroat’s stole their quad.

36 hour shift, is that without sleep! Is that legal?
Cos I recognise you are feeling down I am not going to suggest the chase them off on your new gyro scooter.
